SAN DIEGO — Z-Communications has announced the introduction a lead free, RoHS compliant, coaxial resonator oscillator (CRO2545B-LF) in S band (2500 to 2590 MHz) offering an ultra low (typical) phase noise performance of -107 dBc/Hz at 10kHz offset.

This unique design offers a linear tuning sensitivity of 30 MHz/V (typical) and covers the band between 0.5 to 4.5 V. It has excellent (typical) 2nd harmonic suppression of -20 dBc. The oscillator is designed to deliver 5 dBm output power (typical) at 5-Vdc supply while drawing 20 mA (typical) over the extended operating temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. This VCO is ideally suited for applications that require linear tuning and excellent phase noise performance.

CRO2545B-LF comes in the company's industry standard MINI package measuring 1.27 x 1.27 x 0.56 cm (0.50 x 0.50 x 0.22 inches). This VCO is ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements.
