Miniature variable attenuator covers DC to 18 GHz
July 28, 2010 | Jean-Pierre Joosting | 222900970
Narda, an L-3 Communications company, has introduced the Model 4797 miniature variable attenuator that provides attenuation of 0 to 45 dB, has low insertion loss, and operates over an extended temperature range.
The attenuator measures only 6.71- x 8.26- x 2.54-cm (2.64 x 3.25 x 1 inches), weighs only 340 grams (12 ounces), and handles 10 W average and 3 kW peak power.
VSWR is 1.3:1 or less, insertion loss is less than 1 dB, and frequency sensitivity is ±1.5 dB. Connectors are SMA female.
