Feature: GENESY 2005 RF Design Suite adds four new
tools
Developing
the Right Flow for Aggressive RFIC Designs
An advanced RFIC flow is a
key element within an advanced custom design methodology, enabling
full scale front to back RFIC design. The RFIC flow described in this
paper combines the meet in the middle approach with the extreme
sensitivity of high performance RF circuits.
Direct
sequence UWB signal generation and
measurement
UWB radios will shortly
appear in consumer appliances and offer some unique combinations of
data throughput and operating range. In this article we describe how
to use today's test equipment to measure the performance of the
radio, and thereby ensure the designs result in consistently
performing hardware.
Designing
Radio Link Receivers for Robustness to
Interference
This paper highlights the key
blocks that need to be taken care of when designing a receiver able
to withstand interference according to international regulatory
institute requirements. How to calculate the related receiver
parameters is also presented. The application field for such
guidelines is, in particular, the design of efficient fixed spectrum
digital point-to-point or point-to-multipoint radio
systems.
