RFMW, Ltd., has announced design and sales support for a broadband amplifier designed to support electronic warfare, defense communications and L-Band radar.

The Qorvo TGA2976-SM provides 10-W of saturated power with an input power of 0.5 W. While large signal gain is 13 dB, small signal gain is >20 dB. Supporting applications in frequencies from 100 to 3000 MHz, the amplifier requires a 40-V bias with 360mA of current and provides a power added efficiency (PAE) of >48%.

Qorvo packages this device in a plastic 4- x 4-mm, air cavity, leadless SMT.
