An Singapore-based organization, aiming at funding, researching and developing standardized IoT blockchain technologies, SixDomainChain Foundation has launched SDChain Initiative to serve East Asian IoT markets with innovative blockchain 4.0 technology.

SDChain is an IoT blockchain commercialization initiative that aims to create a partnership ecosystem of sharing trustable IoT digital assets generated from devices, that integrates international standards of the IoT six-domain model and standards of distributed blockchain reference architecture.

According to organisation the aim of SDChain is to eneable IoT data from the physical world to be shared via a fast and cost-effective digital blockchain network where data producers and data users conduct digital asset exchange. The mission of SDChain is to create an open partner ecosystem developing and sharing trustable IoT blockchain digital assets. To meet real-world mission-critical IoT application needs, SDChain uses the SDFT algorithm, incorporating the highly consistent RAFT algorithm and the strongly concurrent BPFT algorithm, committing transactions much faster than many of its peers, at lead time less than 5 seconds, with the capacity of processing more than 1800 transactions per second.

With 2000+ China-based IoT enterprise members, the China IoT Industry Application Alliance (CIOTIAA) has agreed to adopt SDChain in its online and offline blockchain technology application curriculum in 2018. Wei-Qi Yang, Secretary General of CIOTIAA, says, "The real-world IoT practice will benefit from a standardized and sharable data exchange system. SDChain offers such key benefit adaptable to our members' IoT needs, to help them save costs in implementation and project maintenance."

With decades of semiconductor commercialization experience and electronics manufacturing excellence, Taiwan is the heart of the world's ICT industry. Pin-Hsien Liang, Chairman of Taiwan IoT Association and Flowring Technology, says, "We are happy to bring SDChain to our IoT system integrator and manufacturer association members. SDChain, backed by international standards, will help guide us in understanding IoT globalization requirements."
