The company, along with design partners Tempo Semiconductor and Silicon Labs, have designed the SOUNDOT AF1 headset, which uses the Lightning interface for iPhones and iPads, and the CF1, which uses USB-C/USB Micro interfaces for Android phones. The new design negates the need for an embedded FM chip and will prolong battery life and decrease mobile data usage.
Tempo used its headset reference designs to incorporate the FM reception chip into the SOUNDOT control box. Tempo also supplied the schematics and layout reference files, customised MCU code for the Tempo TSCT8x Audio Hub Controller and reference iOS and Android app source code. Silicon Labs supplied its latest CP2615 USB Audio Bridge for the CF1.
