The device’s transmit chain features +30 dBm output and the receive chain features a low-noise amplifier (LNA) with a 1.3 dB noise figure. The module delivers 30.5 dBm Pout at 400 to 500 MHz to enable more than 4x the range versus standalone system-on-chip (SoC) systems and covers multiple unlicensed bands.
The FEM also has a fast switch on/off (<4μs in receive mode and <2μs in transmit mode) that provides rapid timing and multi-protocol arbitration. The module also boasts a high-efficiency power amplifier for longer battery life and comes in a small footprint with MCM (28-pin 6.0- x 6.0-mm) surface mount technology packaging.
