Measurement Computing Corporation has announced the release of Universal Library (UL) for Android™ software support for many of their USB and Bluetooth DAQ data acquisition products.

The UL for Android is a data acquisition API for developing applications that run on the Android operating system. DAQ users are no longer limited to developing DAQ systems solely based on PCs.

Included with UL for Android are example projects to help users quickly get familiar with the library. Programmers can also use the source code of these examples as starting points for their own custom Android apps. Example demo apps are also available from Google Play.

UL for Android is included free with a selection of over 25 USB and Bluetooth DAQ products from Measurement Computing. DAQ hardware starts at only $99, and supported functionality includes analog and digital I/O, counters/timers, and temperature measurements, as well as sample rates up to 500 kS/s.
