Wireless router certified for railway applications

Designed for deployment in railroad passenger trains, the NetModule wireless router NB3700 offers five robust railroad M12 interfaces. Its GSM VoIP gateway function enables users to implement voice connections in two operating modes - either packet-oriented via LTE or as closed-circuit voice connection over GSM networks.

Thus, emergency calls can be easily located through the router's GSM antenna. Supporting VPN technologies such as IPsec, Open VPN or PPTP, the NB3700 enables establishing separate communication channels for different applications like WLAN Access Point, Remote Management, Conditioning Monitoring, Logging of protocol data, electronic payment systems, passenger information or Digital Signage systems.

The NB3700 is designed for 24/7 continuous operation. Internet access can be established across multiple broadband modems such as LTE/4G, 3G, and high-speed GPRS and supports audio and video streaming. Through its compatibility with all established mobile radio standards including LTE, HSPA+, UMTS, EDGE, GPRS and GSM it supports seamless handover and automatically selects the fastest connection at any time. Its LTE and 3G interfaces can be configured to evenly distribute the data load. Its WiFi interface can be used either for WLAN access point or as an WLAN link. The integrated 5-port Ethernet allows directly connecting multifunctional devices; alternatively an Ethernet port can be configured as an additional WAN interface. The serial interface can be software-configured for a COM server or an admin console.

The NB3700 is certified according to railway standard EN50155 T3 (-25°C to +70°C), CEN/TS 44545; its vibration resistance meets MIL ST 810F specs.
