NEC has addressed multi-band antenna tuning with its new UPG2189TB high power single-pole single-throw (SPST) GaAs MMIC switch. At 2.6V VDD and 1.8V VCONT, typical specifications include: operating frequency to 2.5GHz, insertion loss 0.30dB @ 1GHz, output power at 1-dB compression of +37dBm, and 2nd / 3rd harmonics of 68dB / 75dB @ PIN = +33dBm, 1GHz.

In stock and available now from California Eastern Laboratories, the UPG2189TB is housed in NEC's industry-standard SOT-363 / SC-70 ROHS-compliant "TB" package. CEL offers evaluation boards for this switch through its network of sales offices as well as from Mouser Electronics. Click here for a data sheet.
