Zurich, Switzerland—AnaPico has released the APSIN3000 low-noise CW signal generator line.
The frequency range covered with a 0.001 Hz resolution is from 9 kHz up to 3.3 GHz. An extended frequency version is also available with frequency coverage to 6.2 GHz (APSIN6000). RF power is settable from -50 to +13 dBm (>17dBm below 2 GHz, optional -95 dBm to +20 dBm).
The APSIN signal generators provide optimum signal purity with phase noise as low as -125 dBc/Hz at 1 GHz and 20 kHz offset) and low harmonic levels (typically -45 dBc). They are being touted as an alternative to expensive high-end RF signal generators.
The APSIN3000 performs simultaneous frequency and power switching in less than 2 ms. Extensive frequency and power sweep capabilities (linear, log, random, programmable) make the APSIN3000 well-suited for test applications. Selected modulation capabilities (FM, PM, fast pulse modulation) complete the feature set.
