To address the demanding requirements of 5G, Gore offers the GORE® PHASEFLEX® microwave/RF test assemblies (the “purple cables”), the smallest, lightest, most internally ruggedized assembly on the market today for modular, multi-port, and multi-site test applications. The test assemblies are being shown at IMS 2019 this week.

5G testing continues to bring increased complexity, with higher frequency test components above 6 GHz and more ports to address. Multiple functions are integrated into a component and frequent calibration is required. At the same time, tests need to deliver highly accurate measurements for faster throughput, less calibration and downtime, and reduced overall costs.

Key to testing complex 5G and aerospace systems is the need for consistent repeatable measurements with stable electrical performance, increasing need for multiport testing, as well as  driving down size and cost.

These test assemblies deliver consistent, repeatable measurements with stable electrical performance up to 18/26.5/40/50 GHz; longer service life with durable construction that resists crushing, twisting and kinking; as well as enhanced phase and amplitude stability with flexure. Featuring lighter weight, smaller outer diameter, and a high degree of flexibility, the test assemblies provide increased throughput and reduced downtime with durable and reliable performance
