Record/playback system delivers 500 MHz bandwidth over 9 kHz to 6 GHz
Averna has announced a wideband RF platform, the RP-6500, which records and plays back up to 500 MHz of RF spectrum over the 9 kHz to 6 GHz frequency range —making it ideal for multi-constellation GNSS applications.

The system can also capture other signals such as Wifi, GNSS, V2x, spectrum sharing, and cellular applications.

The robust system fits into a car trunk for driving/recording applications, and syncs with both a GPS and the company's DriveView software, for synchronized location and video capture that is time-aligned with the data.

The system is preloaded with RF Studio – a powerful RF record/playback software for capturing real-world RF spectrum, including GNSS, radio, video and location data. A state-of-the-art workflow tool, the RP-6500 series enables users to quickly set up recordings, add contextual data, visualize weak signals, and analyze collected RF environments to validate and fine-tune designs and products.

Key features include a 500 MHz wide instantaneous bandwidth, easy-to-use RF Studio user interface, coverage of the most common wireless protocols from 9 kHz to 6 GHz, high dynamic range of (14 bits, ~ 86 dB), a form factor that allows rack mounting or car trunk portability and time-synchronized capture of RF, signals, and messages.
