Vodafone Idea and IBM to advance hybrid cloud and AI
Leveraging its hybrid cloud and AI expertise, IBM has signed a multi-million-dollar five-year agreement with Vodafone Idea Limited to deliver an enhanced customer experience to millions of connected consumers and businesses in India.

IBM will continue to seamlessly deliver enhanced services for Vodafone Idea leveraging its prior capabilities with Vodafone India and Idea Cellular. It will consolidate applications, and infrastructure including data centers, disaster recovery centers, and further accelerate existing cloud usage. Solutions deployed by Vodafone India Limited and Idea Cellular Limited earlier will be merged and big data capabilities be enhanced.

Earlier this year, IBM and Vodafone entered into a strategic commercial agreement that provides clients with the open, flexible technologies they need to integrate multiple clouds and prepare for the next wave of digital transformation enabled by AI, 5G, edge and Software Defined Networking (SDN).

With more than 70 percent of organisations today using up to 15 cloud environments as they strive to access powerful new digital solutions and services*, the interconnectivity of clouds and the vulnerability of data have become global issues. Together, IBM and Vodafone Business will help companies remove the complexity and barriers from their technology choices and ensure that data and applications flow freely and securely across their organizations.
